Cia. RAU és una companyia de creació especialitzada en el desenvolupament de projectes artístics on la poètica de la música i el gest es relacionen aportant una mirada particular i crítica de la realitat. #BombollaSegura (2021) és el seu darrer projecte escènic, becat per la Fundació Carulla, estrenat al Sismògraf, al Tangent i al Festival de Pasqua de Cervera. La companyia neix el 2018 amb Romanalles (2018-2019), una experiència alternativa d’improvisació interactiva en espais inusuals. El 2019 presenten Origo, estrenat al Dansàneu i al DQFest (Russia).
Cia. RAU és una aposta emergent impulsada i creada per Carles Marigó i Jaume Sangrà.
He is an artist in constant evolution and growth. He took part in projects of classical and experimental music, jazz, funky, traditional Catalan music, theatre, dance, and he never lost his essence as an interpreter, creator, and improviser. He has been a resident musician in La Pedrera (Barcelona, 2016), in Atlàntida (Vic, Barcelona, 2020) and in Zamus Zentrum für Alte Musik Köln (Cologne, 2021). Recently, in 2020, Núvol magazine awarded him with the Castafiore Award for his career. Marigó studied classical piano at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya – ESMUC (Barcelona) under the guidance of Vladislav Bronevetsky and at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory under the guidance of Irina Plotnikova. He developed his side as an improviser while he was tutored by Xavier Dotras, Albert Bover, Emilio Molina, Juan de la Rubia, Michael Pisaro, James Fei, Evan Parker. He extended his education thanks to grants like CEP, CoNCA and AIE. He was also supported by national and international awards as a pianist and composer during his formal education (Prize Eugènia Verdet, Prize Ciutat de Manresa, Prize Ricard Viñes, among others). Now he combines his work as a concertist with teaching. He works as an improvisation teacher in Barcelona at Conservatori Superior del Liceu and at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya – ESMUC.
He holds a Degree in Physical Theatre (Institut del Teatre de Barcelona). He got a scholarship from Institut del Teatre de Barcelona to extend his education at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (DAMU). He received classes from professors like Carles Salas, Andrés Corchero, Roberto Oliván, Lluís Pasqual, Jushka Weigel, among others. He took part in several stage projects where he provided his conception of movement from the point of view of direction, dramaturgy, choreography and/or interpretation. He worked with Veronika Riedlbauchová (Divadlo Disk, Prague), Pep Pla (Teatre Lliure, Barcelona), Miquel Górriz (Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu, Barcelona), Carles Salas (La Caldera, Barcelona), Joan Maria Segura (Institut del Teatre de Barcelona), Helena Tornero (Teatre Nacional de Catalunya, Barcelona), Xavier Erra (CaixaForum de Barcelona), Carles Marigó (Rostov-on-Don, Russia), among others. He is now the choreographer of the project Symphony under the musical direction of Gustavo Dudamel and with the artistic direction of Igor Cortadellas (Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona). He drives his artistic activity and at the same time he works as a movement techniques teacher at Col·legi de Teatre de Barcelona taking part as well in artistic and teaching coordination team of Encontres CaixaEscena.
